We were in the Kentucky turkey hunting woods way before daylight. Woke up a 4:30am to get a head start. I was out there with my buddy Ryan Whitaker from 3S Ranch and Jordan Brake running the camera, chasing Easterns on the first morning of the hunt.

This wasn’t just a turkey—it looked like a dinosaur. Long beard, hooks like needles, inch and an eighth spurs. We hit the woods in Texas, worked the call, and it was game over.

Opening day in Georgia came in hot! A sneaky gobbler slipped in behind us, and when he wouldn’t swing around for the camera, I had no choice but to spin and drop him on the spot! Then it was Dad’s turn—he fired up the call, brought a longbeard strutting into the decoys, and sealed the deal with a perfect shot.

2025 Florida Double Down!
Michael Lee hits the woods of Florida with good friend Jeremy Noegel of Extreme Osceolas to kick off the 2025 Florida turkey season! We spotted a ton of gobblers, and after some serious waiting and making some on-the-fly adjustments, we pulled off an epic shot – two turkeys down at once! It's opening day of turkey season in Georgia, and the Backwoods Life crew is fired up! Michael Lee and Mike Lee Sr. are ready to roll, and Kevin Knighton brings his son Kyler along for an unforgettable couple of hunts.
